From April 27 to 29,2024, the 16th China International Battery Fair(CIBF2024) was held in Chongqing International Expo Center.
With the growing market demand for new energy vehicles, energy storage systems and other industries, the coordinated development of the battery industry and electric vehicles, photovoltaic power generation, smart grid and other industries has become increasingly close, forming a new industrial ecology. The development of the battery industry cannot be separated from the coordinated development of the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain. Industrial collaboration will further promote the technological progress and market expansion of the battery industry, and promote the healthy development of the entire new energy industry chain.
All-solid-state battery is recognized as one of the first choice for the next generation battery, which has been included in the development strategy of major countries such as China, the United States, Japan and South Korea and so on as well as the European Union, and has also become the key commanding point of the next generation battery technology competition. However, all-solid-state batteries are facing great challenges, which need to be interdisciplinary cooperation and high technical threshold, including material interface, process, industrial chain, equipment, etc.“We are leading the world in electric vehicle [EV] and liquid lithium-ion battery industries, and we must find a route for all-solid-state batteries, too." says Ouyang Minggao, a renowned professor heading the advancement of energy storage systems in China at this conference.
As the core driving force of the new energy industry, the battery industry is accelerating towards a new stage of high-quality development with innovation as the driving force and policies as the support. Under the guidance of government policies, the battery industry will make unremitting efforts to promote the rise of new quality productivity and build a better energy future!
